Join us for a patriotic start to July 4th.  The day of family fun begins with the 4th Annual Ocean Pines Freedom 5K.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Worcester County Veterans Memorial @ Ocean Pines. This family-friendly race will go around the beautiful Veterans Memorial Park, cross Ocean Parkway and travel through The Parke Community, again cross Ocean Parkway and head past the South Gate Pond to the finish line near the Memorial. At the finish line, runners will see the flags of each Military branch on the Veterans Memorial.  Come out and support the military by wearing your red, white & blue on such a patriotic holiday!  Race begins at 8am. 

After the race, stay for an afternoon of fun and games.  The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department will host a day of fun at the Veterans Memorial site from 10am - 2pm.  Waterslides, carnival games, face paintng, a dunking booth and concessions are all part of this celebration.  The fee for a water bounce wristband of fun is $6 per participant.  Current pool rates will be in effect for all swimmers
