| Sep 5 Paddle For A Purpose |
Come on out to Ayers Creek in Support of several local non-profits. We are proud to be part of the Worcester County community and appreciate all of the support and encouragement our business has received. As we wrap up a successful 6th season on the creek it is time to give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years.
All proceeds from the days tours and rentals will be donated to the following local charities:
- Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services
- Maryland Coastal Bays Program
- Habitat for Humanity Worcester County
- Lower Shore Land Trust
- Women Supporting Women Worcester County
Reservations required for tours:
9:00 AM Salt Marsh Tour
1:00 PM Forested Wetlands Tour
Reservations Suggested for Rentals - All day from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
We will also be selling our awesome Paddle for a Purpose T-shirts for an $18 donation.
Let us know which of these worthy causes you would like to support. Undesignated proceeds will be split equally among the designated organizations. Payment will be accepted via cash, credit, or a check to one of the above non-profit organizations.
Raffle tickets for the Pink Kayak will be available for $5 each or 5 for $20. The Pink Kayak proceeds benefit Women Supporting Women and Komen Maryland.

| Sep 11 Beard and Mustache Competition |
Hosted by Pit-n-Pub restaurant and the Bearded Men Society of OC and benefiting Diakonia, this event is fun for all ages. Event starts at 6pm with family style music and a 50/50 raffle. The Beard and Mustache Competition starts at 8 pm with the following categories-- Longest // Widest // Stylish // Fakest // Best in Show. Men and Women may participate. At 10 PM local favorites the Phantom Limbs will play.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, paper product such as paper towels & toilet paper, ziploc bags and disinfecting spray as donations for Diakonia. Pit-n-Put will donate 20% of their sales as well. It promises to be a fun night! |
