Why are regulated and non-regulated lenders now required to register?
The Office of Management and Budget issued a revision to 2 CFR Part 25, PART 25—UNIVERSAL IDENTIFIER AND SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT – which requires SAM screening and registration for regulated and non-regulated lenders filing for programs under the OneRD Guarantee Loan Initiative. This revision was effective on Nov. 12, 2020.
Who is required to complete the SAM registration?
Regulated and non-regulated lenders filing for programs under the OneRD Guarantee Loan Initiative are required to register in SAM.gov.
When do approved lenders have to register by?
Regulated and non-regulated lenders filing for programs under the OneRD Guarantee Loan Initiative are required to complete registration by the time they submit an application. Processing of SAM registrations may require 10 business days or more to complete. Lenders are strongly encouraged to begin the SAM registration process in advance of submitting their applications.
